The University of Los Andes runs two (02) admission processes per year:
First Admission Process: February to July
Second Admission Process: October to December
The admission systems to be part of ULA include specific skills Test (Admission test), high-skilled artists, high competition athletes, academic excellence, academic exchanges, among others. The applicants can run one, two, or more of these systems simultaneously.
ULA's Faculty of Humanities and Education extents an invitation to all secondary School graduates or college graduates who can accept the academic challenge in the context of a faculty that aim to cultivate future leaders.

The University of Los Andes is a public and autonomous Institution, this means that the academic services, student assistantship, and technical support is free of any payment, or refund. The enrollment process, however, is rigorously regulated by the Test. Depending on the nature of the study program, it would also be required to take other tests.
Let’s take a look at the application process to be an undergraduate student at ULA.

Check the study programs offered
The University of Los Andes through the Office of Student Admission (in Spanish, OFAE) offers diverse study programs in different fields of knowledge.

Verify and select the admission system(s)
ULA offers several admission systems. The application can be run through one or several admission process simultaneously. The applicant must know in detail the dates and the procedure of the admission system selected.

Fee payment
The applicant pays the fee in accordance to the admission system.

4.
Online registration for the Admission Test
The applicant makes the online registration for the test after 2 days of the fee payment. The dates of the tests are published in the following days.

Check date and classroom
The date, time and classroom where the test will be taken is stated in the Online Application. It is important to hand the I.D. and the bank deposit receipt. It is also convenient to be 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

Check the grades
The grades are usually posted after 72 hours of the Eliminatory test. The grades will be available at “Consulta de la Solicitud”. The list of admitted candidates is published at the Central Office of Student Registration (In Spanish, Oficina Central de Registro Estudiantil, O.R.E.)

Enrollment
The admitted applicant must prepare a series of documents to formalize the enrollment process in the University of the Andes. The enrollment process will be carried out by the Central Office of Student Records (OCRE). The admitted applicant must be aware of the dates and requirements for enrollment.
The invitation is for all secondary School graduates who can take academic challenges in the context of a faculty that aims to cultivate the future leaders through the development of creative academic achievements.

The Faculty of Humanities and Education of the University of Los Andes has adjusted to this global tendency and works to provide a research activity that focuses on important issues within the fields of humanities. One important evidence of our research activity is Saber ULA. Saber ULA is an institutional repository that manages the publication, preservation and free access, full text, of documents derived from the intellectual and institutional production of the University of Los Andes.
The mission of Saber ULA is to:
- Disseminate and preserve the intellectual production of the members of the university community (professors and researchers from all units and research units owned by the ULA,
- Serve as a source of storage and common exchange of information produced at the University of Los Andes in all fields of knowledge,
- Systematically record information derived from university institutional management,
- Reinforce the presence on the Internet of all ULA Centers, Groups, Institutes, Laboratories and Postgraduates,
- Encourage the creation of electronic publications and
- Contribute to the free access to the knowledge generated in our university.
